Grossman Campaign Wrap-Up. What’s Next for Seth.

First, let me thank those of you who helped me come so close to defeating Democrat Jeff Van Drew and preserving the Republican majority in the House of Representatives.

Thanks to you, we overcame so many enormous obstacles. The biggest was sabotage and attacks from where we least expected it–from national and state leaders of our own Republican Party!

Unfortunately, they did the same thing to many good conservative candidates for Congress throughout America. They, not Trump, put Bob Menendez back in the U.S. Senate.

They, not Trump, gave Democrats control of U.S. House of Representatives. I explain details below, but these vote totals tell much of the story.

What now?

Please help me remove our campaign signs from public property. Please properly dispose of plastic bag and corrugated signs and wire supports.  Please help me save large 4 x 4 wood signs and posts for large signs for future campaigns.  Please contact me for details at (609) 927-7333 or info@grossmanforcongress.com

I loaned roughly $15,000 to the campaign to pay for the last two days of radio and TV spots. I am working to set up a final low cost, low maintenance fundraiser and appreciation event to recover all or some of that money. If you have any ideas of date, time or place, please let me know. However, if you can contribute by check or online before then, your help would be greatly appreciated.

The online donation page at is still active and functioning. DONATE HERE

Help me build an organization that can win future elections. The entire New Jersey Assembly, some State Senators, and many county, local, and public school board officials will be running for office next year. However local Republican clubs will be meeting next month. I apologize for not responding to all calls and messages during the last month of this campaign.

I ‘m already working to correct that by planning, and preparing volunteers to do professional work in future campaigns.

Next year’s Primary Elections are just six months away. If you want training and support to be a candidate, campaign manager, or volunteer, please contact me as soon as possible.

Years ago, political bosses like Nucky Johnson and Frank “Hap” Farley started their campaigns on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It is my experience that candidates who start later don’t have a real chance of winning.

As always, if you have any ideas on what I and the others should be doing during the next few months, please let me know.

The Weekly Liberty And Prosperity breakfast is 9:30am, Saturdays at the Shore Diner, 6710 Tilton Road, Egg Harbor Township. Parkway Exit 36, Fire Road and the Days Hotel.

Unnecessary Obstacles From GOP Leaders

Steve Stivers
Steve Stivers

A month before I won the Primary last June, Steve Stivers of @NRCC (National Republican Congressional Committee) told the Philadelphia Inquirer: “I wish we had a better recruit in the LoBiondo seat, but we don’t.”  At that time, Hirsh Singh, Sam Fiocchi and Robert Turkavage and I were all candidates.

My response to the Press of Atlantic City: “The NRCC is looking for a rich candidate with no political experience who will fund his own campaign, and then do what he is told after the election.

These Republican leaders don’t care if they lose the seat to Democrat Van Drew, as long as they can blame Trump”.

The conduct of those Republican leaders during the next six months proved that I was right. They continued their sabotage after I surprised them by winning the June Primary. When Democrats took my comments opposing “diversity” for employment, promotions, and scholarships completely out of context, top NJ State Republican leaders repeated the Democrat lies and publicly attacked me.

When I successfully defended my views on “diversity” these Republican leaders attacked me again. They repeated Media Matters, CNN and Democrat lies about Facebook posts I had shared years ago–posts also shared at the time by many prominent Republican leaders.

George Soros

None of those GOP ‘leaders’ made any effort to hear my side of the story. None of them even returned my phone calls!

The GOP national and state organizations did not contribute a dime to my campaign. They would not even give me access to their voter lists. Their public and private attacks on me during the entire campaign hurt my efforts raise funds from others.

National and State GOP leaders also kept me from sharing information and working with Bob Hugin’s campaign on voter registration and early voting.

This hurt Hugin as much as me. After spending $30 million, Hugin only got the same 44% of the vote that underfunded fellow conservative Steve Lonegan got against Cory Booker in 2013.

The same NRCC and State GOP leaders who didn’t give me a dime, gave more than a million dollars to Republican Assemblyman Jay Webber of Parsippany.

Webber, a well-known Establishment GOP Assemblyman was also running to replace a retiring Republican Congressman in a pro-Trump district. He ended up with 43% of the vote–3 points less than me.

Plus The Obstacles Every Republican Candidate Has To Deal With.

For 5 months, The Democrat media, Google, and Facebook hit us with Fake News, blocked our posts, and manipulated search results. Hollywood celebrities, ActBlue, Nancy Pelosi’s “Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), and dozens of unions and special interests put more than $1.6 million into Van Drew’s campaign.

Van Drew also hired the Craig Callaway “knock and drag” and messenger ballot machine.

State road crews systematically removed my campaign signs while leaving Van Drew signs untouched. Stockton University published two polls showing me down 24, then 17 points.

In spite of all that, we delivered our MAGA/conservative message.

More than 1,200 small donors contributed more than $240,000. We got 108,633 votes, or about 46% of the total.

With just a little help from the national and state GOP Establishment, we could have answered the last minute lies by Democrats on Social Security and Health Insurance. We could have competed with Craig Callaway by reaching more Republican voters with voter registrations and early voting.

But then again, we would have gotten that money elsewhere if the National and NJ State GOP just left us alone!

Now that we recognize the mistakes of the past, let us continue our work for the future.  President Trump, our Constitution, and our nation depend on us.

Thank you for your continued support.
